Powerlase Selects BFi Optilas for Mainland European Distribution
POWERLASE Limited, manufacturers of the world’s highest power, nanosecond Q-switched, diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers, today announces a significant distribution agreement with BFi OPTiLAS to distribute its Starlase™, high-powered, nanosecond, Q switched, Diode Pumped Solid State lasers to customers in mainland Europe.
This announcement follows significant agreements with key distributors in Korea, Japan and China as POWERLASE lasers, and applications expertise, continue to address an increasing customer base and number of manufacturing requirements in Asia and Europe.
POWERLASE currently leads the global market in the supply of lasers to the Flat Panel Display (FPD) market for Rapid Laser Patterning (RLP) of ITO. As a result of this success POWERLASE has already secured significant global manufacturing deals with Samsung and LG. The laser innovator is excited at the potential this partnership brings. The expectation is to penetrate new markets in Europe, replicating its success in Asia, by capitalising on the undoubted coverage and position of BFi OPTiLAS across these countries.
The POWERLASE AO Starlase Series nanosecond, Q-switched solid-state lasers combine high average power with high repetition rates and high intensity pulses, to enable the introduction of laser processing into revolutionary applications. POWERLASE lasers maintain the highest power in their class, offering end users many features including rapid material processing and the ability to replace existing industrial processing.
