POWERLASE Awarded BS EN ISO 9001:2000

POWERLASE has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by  British Standards Institution (BSI)
  • The award recognises the company’s commitment to customer focus, satisfaction and continual improvement of all of its processes.

POWERLASE Ltd, manufacturers of the world’s most powerful nanosecond Q-switched, diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers, has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by British Standards Institution (BSI) in recognition of the company’s continual commitment to meet customer, regulatory and the organisation’s own stringent requirements.

The award recognises POWERLASE’s achievement in implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the research, manufacture and marketing of the company’s specialist laser systems. A QMS is an essential tool used to provide a company with the ability to monitor and continually improve the performance of the business, both internally and within its market. This is especially important for POWERLASE, as the manufacturer is constantly developing sophisticated lasers to be used in innovative ways for unexplored manufacturing industries.

Auditors from the BSI inspected POWERLASE headquarters and manufacturing facility in Crawley in June this year. As testament to the effectiveness of the QMS utilised at POWERLASE, the 4 day audit concluded in recommendation that POWERLASE be given full accreditation. The POWERLASE facility will be audited by BSI once every six months to ensure the high-standards are maintained.

We constantly examine new manufacturing applications for our lasers and are pushing hard to improve the capacity, both in terms of power produced and the manufacturing applications they are used for.”

Tony King, CEO POWERLASE stated: “With this kind of advancement in technology it is imperative that we are able to monitor our manufacturing, development and marketing procedures to ensure that we are continually improving to further enhance customer satisfaction. We are pleased our efforts have been recognised with the BSI certification.”
