POWERLASE Recognised for Outstanding UK Design and Innovation

Award recognises laser innovators significant product innovation and businesses success in the Flat Panel Display (FPD) market.
POWERLASE Limited, manufacturers of the world’s most powerful nanosecond Q-switched, diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers, has been awarded The Manufacturer Award for Design and Innovation 2007.
The award follows POWERLASE’s significant product innovation and businesses success in the Flat Panel Display (FPD) manufacturing market with significant penetration into both the plasma display panel (PDP) and LCD monitor markets. Around 60% of global PDP manufacture is now reliant on POWERLASE’s laser systems.
This Design and Innovation award acknowledges manufacturers who have remained competitive by increasing their rate of innovation, anticipation and responsiveness to ever changing market conditions. POWERLASE defeated high profile manufacturers such as BAE Systems Land Systems and Motor sports specialists, BERU F1 Systems, to win the award. The judges complimented POWERLASE for focusing its product innovation and design purely on fulfilling its customers’ requirements, its well documented design strategy and business success.
